The legend of Boxing: Rocky Marciano

Rocky MarcianoHis name was Rocco Francis Marchegiano. They called it the ‘Brockton blockbuster’. He was born on September 1, 1923 in Brockton, Massachusetts (USA).

Interestingly one of the greatest boxers of all time started playing baseball, particularly in the Army United States during World War II. It was not an athletic type, not tall, had an air of Alfredo Landa, but was hard, very hard. He was an expert on boxing melee, because of its short arrival (1.73 m) was not a conservative fighter at all, nor was that kept their distance.

He made his first professional boxing match on 17 March 1947 Epperson Heses winning by KO in the third assault. In 1948 recorded 11 fights, before the limit ganĂ¡ndolas all except the 30 September attacks Cardion Gil, who played at Providence, Lovecraft’s hometown.
