About John Barnes The Legend of Football
The former Liverpool and England team, John Barnes, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on November 11, 1963 and moved to England when he was a child. It was discovered by a talent scout for Watford FC, while playing football in a park and made his professional debut with the team in 1981. The following season Watford had been promoted to the English First Division (now Premier League).
Coach Graham Taylor took Watford team grow and so did Barnes, who became a member of the European team in 1983 and the following year, enjoyed the second-place Liverpool in the league.
