One of the achievements of Garcia is a founder of the Nicaraguan Olympic Committee and the first six in that sport federations, and therefore has been considered the “Father of Olympic baseball.”
In 1957 was the founding president of the Nicaraguan Federation Baseball Association (FENIB), being re-elected for five alternating periods. Also organizer of the XX World Baseball Championship in 1972.
Organized the 1994 World Championships, attended by 16 countries, organizers of six Central American baseball championships in Nicaragua in the decade of the 60-70.

Don Carlos Garcia is the architect of victory in Nicaragua Norceca Baseball Tournament held in Panama. Founder and elected President of Femba in Canada.
Was elected president of FIBA in Tokyo, Japan. Nicaragua joined the Williamsport Little League, winning two American Championships in Nicaragua and Puerto Rico participating in world championships twice as a finalist.
