Coma is the virtual winner of the Dakar
Coma was the fastest to travel the 555 km of special and got his fifth victory in the Dakar stage ahead of Despres, who was second at 37 seconds of Catalan.
Portugal’s Helder Rodrigues (Yamaha) was third and the Chilean Francisco “vest” Lopez (Aprilia) finished fifth and will not move from the third position overall.
Judgment proof
In the absence of a journey to the end, Coma is practically in his pocket his third title of Dakar. The last remaining 181-km timed, between Cordoba and Buenos Aires, in which only folly or misfortune on his bike could deprive the Catalan victory.
